|
|
Rockville, MD, USA - March 27, 2007
|
XF Rendering Server is able to transform XML data into AFP™ output for viewing, archiving, further transformation, or printing.
Advanced Function Presentation™ (AFP™) is an IBM architecture and family of associated printer software and hardware. It provides an end-to-end presentation solution that supports centralized resource management, high print volume and speeds.
Along with the AFP™ capabilities, the passage from Word 2003 to Word 2007
brings new features and benefits. XF Rendering Server 2007 is now able to
generate the newly docx files (extension .docx). The docx file extension is the extension
associated with the xml based format called Office Open XML used by default
by Microsoft Word 2007 which is a part of Office 2007. In
the future the docx extension will replace the doc extension for all Word
documents.

New version of XF Rendering Server arrives
|
|
Rockville, MD, USA - Aug 14, 2006
|
We are pleased to announce the release of XF Rendering Server 2008, available for download now.
The main new features are 64 bits processing, WordML support and a new .NET API which can work with
both .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0.
Very complex documents that
must be loaded entirely in memory can now be processed without the hardware
limitations of 32 bit platforms.
Compared to traditional 32-bit processors, 64-bit technology approximately doubles the amount
of data a CPU can handle per clock cycle, and increases the amount of memory a system can address,
from approximately 3GB, to at least one terabyte (1000GB).
With XF Rendering Server 2008, Ecrion Software Inc. moves to the forefront of XSL-FO
formatters in providing 64-bit support.
