Unfortunately there's no way to override the default behavior. But you can go to XML view and use search & replace dialog.

Thanks for the response Radu.

I am aware of the edit expression capability, however I'm interested in knowing if there's a way to override the default expression generated when doing a drag and drop. If I'm dropping 100 text fields into my template, requiring editing for each XPATH node is quite time consuming.

Hi Simon,

You just need to double-click on field and the following will appear http://www.ecrion.com/Temp/HelpCache/XFDesigner/framed_hidd_dialog_xpath_edit.htm.

In "Expression" textbox you can customize your XPath.

Hello,

I have a question regarding the XPATH expression generated when doing a drag and drop from the Data Source container.

Is there a way to customize the XPATH expression generated? Currently, we have a tree that is of the form:

...

When we drag and drop a question node, we get a reference to /page/question, however, we would like it to be /page/question[@name="a"].

Is there a way to configure the behaviour we desire? Or any other suggestions (other than editing the XSL-FO code itself)?
