Option to not embed fonts

   Question:  It appears that the Rendering Server embeds fonts by default, but I would like to specify for the fonts not be embedded.  Is this possible with the Rendering Server?
Answer:  Yes, this is possible.  There is actually an extension developed by Ecrion to handle such a request.  This extension is called xf:pdf-page-settings, and more on the usage and purpose can be read here:

One can use the pdf-embed-true-type-fonts="false" set on the extension element as described in the above documentation.  It should be noted that when displaying a PDF without embedded fonts the reader will try to load the font from the system.  If the font is not found, the Times font will be used as default.
