Data Architect works with job files in the DAX (Data Aggregation XML) format. These files describe an aggregation job (or task) for Data Aggregation Server, telling DAS how to output the data in your database into XML. You do not need to know the format beforehand to work with it, but you can always look at the code generated by the designer at any time and even edit it using the embedded text editor component.
