The Set Data Source dialog replaces the old Assign XML dialog and is used with XFD to assign various data sources to the template.
To display the dialog, select the Data Source checkbox under the View tab in the Show/Hide group or press "CTRL+1" and then click on the first icon on the left in the Data Source dialog bar.
Supported data sources are:
| • | XML - Assign an XML data source. Notice that you can assign an XML by using relative or absolute paths. In order to use relative paths, it is necessary to save your document first. A warning is displayed if your document is not saved. |
| • | XML with Schema - Assign an XML data source with an attached XML schema (XSD). This way you work with the XSD instead of the original XML data and can protect any private information you may have stored in the original data source. |
If you select this type of data source, then it`s mandatory to assign a XSD data to work in Design View. If you want to see the output in Print Layout you have to assign a XML data source.
| • | Data Aggregation File - Assign a file in the Ecrion DAX format (Data Aggregation XML). This is only available if Ecrion Data Aggregation Server is installed on the machine. |
