Components

A component is a type of element supported by XF Designer 2011 's ".xfc" file format which creates an external subdocument from an XSL-FO text fragment.

How to create a component

To create a component a user must right click an item in the Navigation Bar an press Make Component...

Note:

•	Not all elements can be transformed into Components

The Make Component dialog box will appear. Here you will have to type or select a file in witch the component will be stored.

Managing components

To manage components use the Component drop-down menu from the Text group under the Insert tab.

Previews of the available components are displayed in the drop-down menu.

Component Folder Dialog

The component Folder Dialog pops up when pressing the Manage Components button in the Text group under the Insert tab, and it allows the user to add folders and manage the available components in groups.

Note:

•	This feature only works with an Expert Edition Licence.
