XSL-FO Page Layouts

Top Previous Topic Next Topic  Print this topic

XF Designer 2011 is able to display any page layout that is in compliance with XSL-FO specifications.

Using the rules, you can adjust the margins for the different areas of a page (body, header, footer, left, right).

In addition, other attributes like padding and number of columns can be adjusted using the Properties dialog bar.

You can activate the Properties dialog bar from the View tab in the Properties group, or by using the ALT+Enter key combination.

Document Views

Any document has multiple views; for XSL-FO documents, you can switch between:

XML Document (Text) View - allows for direct XSL-FO editing

Design View - similar to an HTML editor, you can insert new objects and edit their properties without knowing XSL-FO syntax

Print Layout - previews the document

To switch between views using the keyboard, press Ctrl + PageUp or Ctrl + PageDown.
