Click the browse button labeled with "..." to navigate to the appropriate data file.
Select the data file and click OK.
The Data Source should now be visible in the Data Source dialog bar (Click the Data Source checkbox in the Show/Hide group under the Home tab if this is not visible)

NOTE:  DATA SOURCE FILES WILL BE LIMITED TO ACCEPTED FORMATS ONLY.

To assign XML to your XF Template Document: from the Home tab in the Template group click "Assign ML", or click on this icon assign_xml04 in the Data Source dialog bar.

You can use "Assign Stylesheet" only for XSL documents.

To assign a Stylesheet to your XML document: the Designer must be in Text View mode and the user must press the “Assign Stylesheet” button in the XML group under the Home tab.

Stylesheets can be associated with an XML document by using a processing instruction whose target is XML-Stylesheet. This processing instruction follows the behavior of the HTML 4.0. Once you have assigned an XSL stylesheet to an XML file, the XSL stylesheet is used to process the XML file (for example, if you are displaying the XML file in a browser, the XSL stylesheet is automatically applied to it).

Notice that you can assign an XML or a stylesheet by using relative or absolute paths.

Note:

In order to use relative paths, it is necessary to save your document first. A warning is displayed if your document is not saved.
