Edit Expression

Use this dialog to edit and assign XPath expressions for a range of features.

This dialog is used in setting dynamic values and in editing conditions relative to them, as shown in the example below:

IMPORTANT: The XPath expression is created relative to the context node. The condition is inserted at a location within this context, and the XPath expression will be evaluated with this node as its context.

 

Use the XML Data, Functions (Built-In, Node-Set, String, Arithmetical, User Defined Functions), Operators (Arithmetical, Boolean, Logical, Grouping/Filtering, Comparison) Constants (Arithmetical, Boolean, Logical)  to edit the expression and Parameters (Local Time and Date).

You can also use shortcuts to the arithmetical operators. The icons displayed in their continuation have the following functions:

Undo: navigates to the previous editing action.

Redo: navigates to the initial editing action, previous to the command "Undo".

Validation: checks the validity of the expression and signals the possible errors.

Home: navigates to the root node.

   

   

Select the working object, and then double click on the element you want to include in the expression.

You can expand the XML configuration by a click on image011. Use image012 to move up/navigate back to previous root node in the XML structure.
