A table is a database object that you use to store data about a particular subject. A table consists of rows and columns.

This dialog enables you to insert table elements and to assign them various properties, including borders, padding and alignment.

To display the dialog: select the Insert tab and then click on the "Table" button in the Table group.

Design your table by setting the number of Rows and Columns.

Any table can have a Header and/or a Footer, which you can insert by selecting the correspondent check boxes.

When "Autoformat" is checked, you can choose a Table Format and visualize it in the Preview mode.

 

If Custom is checked, the following options are available:

In the Borders section, you can customize the properties of the table’s borders by assigning it Width, Style and Color values.

 

Note:

If you uncheck the Has borders box, these 3 fields become encrypted and the borders of the table turn invisible in the View mode.

 

In the Cells section, you can assign a value to the Padding property, as well as align the cells on the vertical or horizontal line.
