A document can display the following image formats: BMP, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PSD, SVG, EPS.
When you want to insert an image, you can embed the image bytes in your document by checking the appropriate box in the Insert Image dialog or introduce the relative or absolute path from where you want to insert it.
NOTE:
For example you want to insert "Water lilies.jpg" from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\My Pictures\Sample Pictures:
If you double click on the picture a dialog will be displayed which offers you the possibility of changing the picture, similar to the one for inserting. The picture is inserted in its original size. Once inserted you have multiple options for editing.
If you click to select the picture you see the options: Cut, Copy, Delete, Absolute Positioning and Properties.
You can scale the picture dragging its corners after being selected or using its properties: Content Height and Content Width. These two can be set to "auto" and "scale-to-fit" or to a specific wanted value by typing in the respective field.
To have access to Content Height or Content Width, right click on the picture and select Properties.
The orientation of the picture can be: rotated 90, 180 and 270 degrees by selecting it from the appropriate drop-list. Scaling can be uniform or non-uniform and the scaling method can be automatic (auto), integer-pixels or you can resample-any-method.
If you select Absolute Positioning for your picture, it will appear at the exact pixel you specify in the Content Height and Content Width fields.
