The XF Ultrascale 2011 Viewer application is used to preview and export XSL-FO documents using the XF Ultrascale 2011 engine. It has a modern interface that uses controls called ribbons to provide access to frequently used commands.

Opening Files

To open an XSL-FO file within the viewer select Open from the File menu.

Controlling File Loading

Because XF Ultrascale 2011 supports progressive loading of very large XSL-FO files, you may want to stop loading or reload a specific file. You can do this by using the Stop and Reload buttons in the Tools category on the main ribbon.

Exporting a File

Upon loading a document, you can export it to any supported format by going to the File Menu and selecting Export..., then you can choose the desired format from the dialog that appears.

Quick Export to PDF

Upon loading a document, you can quickly export a PDF file by clicking the Preview in PDF button in the Tools category on the main ribbon. You can also switch the quick export format by selecting it in the drop-down associated with the button.

Zooming In/Out

To zoom the document you can use the slider in the bottom right or the buttons on the main ribbon in the View category for predefined zoom percentages. Zoom is also available by holding the Ctrl key and scrolling the mouse wheel.

Displaying the Message Bar

The message bar shows the last message or error and can be used for troubleshooting. You can display it by ticking the Message Bar check box in the Show/Hide category on the main ribbon.

Changing the Color Scheme

XF Ultrascale 2011 supports different color schemes. You can modify that by use of the Appearance button in the top right of the window.
