"last" supported in page-position?

   Trying to put message in footer of the last page. Hand coded the solutions I've found in several sources. Even-or-odd page works, "first" works in page-position but "last" does nothing. I noticed "last" is (or was) not supported in FOP. 

If "last" does not work for page position how do I put a unique message on the last page over ruling thr even and odd page messages?
