Question:
I have created a system to transform XML via XSL to display on a web page. Without reinventing that wheel I would like to convert the transformed data into downloadable PDF/HTML/DOC/TXT files.

I have downloaded a copy of the server software but need some help in getting things going.

Answer:
XF Rendering Server comes with programming APIs for .NET, C++ and JAVA.
For .NET projects you will need to add a reference to Ecrion.Ultrascale.NET.dll (restart Visual Studio after installing the server and you will see this assembly in Add Reference dialog box).
The .NET programming API can be found here:
http://www.ecrion.com/Products/XFRenderingServer/XFUltrascaleHelp/programmingmanuals.htm
A tutorial for writing a sample .NET application can be found here:http://www.ecrion.com/Products/XFRenderingServer/XFUltrascaleHelp/net_sample_application.htm

Similarly, for Java see http://www.ecrion.com/Products/XFRenderingServer/XFUltrascaleHelp/programmingmanuals.htm

The JAR that contains the API is located under C:\Program Files\Ecrion\XF Ultrascale 2011\Client\Java

Regardless of the programming API, you can change the output format by modifying the OutputFormat field from RenderParameters.
