If you have problems to click on an fo:block in fo:flow because of floating regions you can go to xml view add this xml line as child of fo:flow: <fo:block break-before="page"> </fo:block> Also you can add a new page by adding a new page set. See http://www.ecrion.com/products/xfdesigner/XFDesignerHelp/hidd_pagination_dialogbar.htm Edited by radup - 03 Aug 2011 at 4:18am |

I'm having trouble with this too. I have a page1, which has only floating regions... There's nothing to even click on to add a page break.

Typically you create a page break by setting break-before="page" (or break-after="page") on an fo:block. The block though must be positioned in-flow, meaning it should not be within a floating object.
If you're having trouble, request assistance from support@ecrion.com. Regards,

XF Designer 2011 - I'm building a template that doesn't lend itself well to structures like tables, so my approach is to use a large number of floating objects, then use the objects' block-containers to position/decorate them on a page. My template needs to have multiple pages, but I'm having trouble creating the page breaks (e.g., force a template to have two or three fixed pages), then positioning arbitrary floating objects in fixed positions on arbitrary pages. Does anyone have a good approach for doing this?
