Getting Started with the Ecrion Data Architect

Installation

Getting started with the Data Architect has never been easier.  Simply download the Data Architect, run the setup package, and follow the on-screen instructions for license installation using the License Administrator.  Note:  for free trial users, a license installation is not required for a restricted time period.   

Getting Started

Open the Data Architect application, select your output type, and begin by connecting to your input data source.  You can use the ribbon to select from a database connection, other XML file, spreadsheet, and more.  

Drag and drop database tables from the Data Connections window to include in the Design View or for your  TXT, CSV, or XML, a corresponding element should be present.  Simply select data points and drag to the output XML element to construct connection arrows indicating this data point will be included in your output XML.  Then you are ready to start using additional features like filtering, join, and built in functions for data manipulation which are all accessible from the Ribbon.
