Input Data Formats
EOS can generate documents that contain variable data. Typical examples of variable data are product names, customer billing information, invoice lines and totals, etc.
Data can be supplied in the following formats:
- XML
- Databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and any other database that has a .NET or a Java driver)
- Web services
- CSV (Comma-separated values), flat files, etc. Unicode, Double-byte and other encodings are supported.
- Custom .NET or Java data providers
Behind the scenes EOS uses Ecrion Data Aggregation Server to perform Data Integration. This means that not-only your documents are able to use data from any data source, but you will also able to correlate (join) data from multiple sources, for example two databases or use non-homogeneous sources, for example a database and an XML file.
Input Documents
In addition to being able to generate documents from dynamic data, EOS can also use existing PDF or Word documents as part of the document assembly flow.
Other input formats can be supported upon request.
