In many real-life cases, document production involves multiple steps such as: gathering data, generating both electronic documents and merged print files, distributing output via email, SMS, fax, or printing directly to a printer, archiving, and more. EOS is used to support even the most complex document production workflows.

Triggers allow EOS to monitor multiple event sources and take actions when a certain event or condition occurs. Adding files to a folder, adding records to a database table, and monitoring Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) are all examples of event sources that can be monitored in EOS.
