Getting Started

XF Desktop Edition can be downloaded from our downloads section. After extracting the ZIP file, look under Samples folder for a list of code samples:

• XFDesktopEngineSample - Programmatically convert all supported input formats (XML, XSL-FO, to PDF and other supported formats.
• XFDesktopPrintSample - Shows how to send output directly to a printer.
• XFViewerCtrlSample - A .NET Viewer control which can be embedded in desktop applications. Use the control to benefit form out-of-the-box functionality like previewing the document, or to print, export to PDF, export to Word an more.
• XFEditorCtrlSample - A .NET Editor control which can be embedded in desktop applications. Use it to enhance your application and edit XSL-FO based templates, or to print, export to PDF, export to Word an more.

Important: In order to start using the engine in your .NET application, add a reference to Ecrion.Ultrascale.Desktop.dll.

For .NET applications that use the viewer or editor controls, references should be added to Ecrion.Ultrascale.Desktop.dll.

System Requirements

The following are the minimum system requirements:

• Software: Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or later and .NET Framework 2.0 or later.
  XF Desktop Edition has been successfully tested on Windows 2000 and up, including Windows 7.

• Hardware: Minimum 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 or better, 512 Mb of RAM, 10 Gb of free disk space.
